Why PET over SPECT Imaging?Exam timeTraditional SPECT scans can take up to 4 hours to perform. PET scans can be completed in a fraction of that time. Patients can easily tolerate the imaging position, reducing the risk of motion and artifacts. Customer satisfaction ratings will improve greatly. Improved Image QualityBetter image quality will result in greater diagnostic accuracy and risk stratification. PET images are better able to identify multi-vessel disease as well as the extent and severity of disease. Greatly Reduced Radiation ExposureOngoing concerns and awareness around patient radiation exposure can be addressed by utilizing PET technology.
