ASNC Establishes Pathway for Nuclear Medicine Technologists to Achieve CT Certification
Cardiac PET/CT has continued to see increased implementation in nuclear cardiology labs because of the value it brings to clinicians and patients. One of the challenges that arises from the increased implementation of the PET/CT technology is the different state regulatory challenges for nuclear medicine technologists that want to perform the CT portion of the scan.
To address this challenge, the American Society if Nuclear Cardiology (ASNC) has introduced a program to assist working nuclear medicine technologists gain a CT certification. In collaboration with Chattanooga State Community College (ChSCC), ASNC has announced an accelerated pathway to CT certification for nuclear medicine technologists.
